6-Fold Tie Construction With Rolled Edges and No Tipping
6-Fold Tie Construction. A standard construction tie has 3-folds. Using 6-folds will add to the drape of a tie and with loose weaves such as a grenadine will enhance the durability of the seam used to close the reverse of the tie. This is a luxury construction that is lined with wool and requires more silk and time to do the folds.
The rolled edges are created just like our pocket square edges.
The rolled edges require no tipping (the triangular areas on the reverse side of the tie.
