Payment Policies: We accept Paypal through which you can use your Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express cards.
All information collected (during the initial sign-up process, for example) is routed through an encrypted Secure Socket Layers (SSL) connection for your protection. SSL is the industry standard for concealing information on the internet.
Our Goals: We feel that an organization's responsibility to society is determined by that organization's collective talents and inclinations; accordingly our mission is to promote traditional weaving, dyeing and the crafting of fine neckties, pocket squares and scarves.
We do not consider it enough to simply trade fairly with our craftpersons and suppliers; whom are our family, staff, friends, and neighbors. Instead, we have a commitment of respecting and encouraging all stakeholders who take an active part in the company’s mission.
This respect takes many forms ranging from taking part in local ceremonial traditions, to preserving arts that are in danger of being lost, to sometimes something as practical as encouraging a student to stay in school, or a grandmother to take her vitamins.
Below is a copy of what you will be asked to agree to as the conditions of your order when you checkout by checking the checkbox.
Please note that we do not offer refunds or exchanges for any reason other than our errors.
Changes in your order are not possible as we are not set up for changes.
If you email us quickly after your order we will consider making a change but no promises that this will be possible.
As an example we do not offer a refund when you change your mind about a color, fabric, construction, delivery date or size.
Our no refund policy is subject to our interpretation based on our daily experience making ties and by making your order you accept our policy.
We offer DHL and Registered mail shipping options - once we make your order and ship it delivery is not our responsibility.
To help with colors, textures and fabric weights, swatches for most of our fabrics are available for purchase. Swatches are the only way to ensure an exact color, weight or texture.
We try very hard to have accurate colors but different monitors will show different colors - so please order swatches before your tie order as we are not responsible if what you receive is not the color that you saw on your monitor.
We use our Sam Hober Tie Guide to explain our tie making policies which include our accepted variances. Please note that your measurements may not be the same as ours.
Also please note we have a 1/4 inch in length and 1/8 inch in width variance in your finished tie.
We do not make delivery promises as we are artisans and work very slowly and carefully. If you have a special event such as a wedding let us know in the notes area when you checkout and we will do our best to help you but we do not make delivery promises.
Also in the notes area please let us know if you would like us to use the pattern from your old order.
If you find that within 30 days of receiving your order that the construction or fabric condition (as for example a spot or damage in transit) of your order is not acceptable, email us with a note explaining the problem and a request for an exchange or refund, which we will carefully consider.
Please email us with questions on construction or size and we will be happy to answer your questions.
If you do not provide us with your measurements, after a short wait we will use our judgement for your measurements and construction.
One reason for our very limited refund policy is that we custom make all our ties to your length, width, knot and shape etc. which means we would not be able to resell your order.
Our limited refund policy helps us to keep our prices low.
All refunds are made in the same way that payment was made.
